BOX CANOPY
APPLICATION: a box canopy is a good general use canopy for grill line ups or over industrial equipment.
LIMITATIONS: can only be used where height isn’t an issue.
ADVANTAGES: canopy provides a head height for ovens. This canopy can be mounted side by side and back to back.
LOW HEIGHT CANOPY
APPLICATION: a low height canopy is equipment specific. It is placed directly above high fat cooking equipment.
LIMITATIONS: canopy cannot be higher than 1500mm from floor level. Canopy cannot be used where equipment is higher than 1500mm.
ADVANTAGES: since this canopy is close to the equipment a very low air volume can be used which in turn has smaller ducting and therefore a cheaper system.
SLOPE “V”BANK CANOPY
APPLICATION: slope “v” bank canopy is designed for island cooking.
LIMITATIONS: can create height issues for tall equipment.
ADVANTAGES: canopy is closer to the equipment hence more effective, due to this it is possible to extract a slightly lower air volume. Due to the double filter banks this canopy has a high extraction volume making it very effective for most applications.
DISHWASHER CANOPY
APPLICATION: a dishwasher canopy is specifically designed for over dishwashers only.
LIMITATIONS: canopy cannot be too high above dishwashers to prevent spillage. It can only be used on dishwashers. Drain connection is required.
ADVANTAGES: if it is unavoidable this canopy can be used without any ducting but it is recommended
BOX “V” BANK CANOPY
APPLICATION: box “v” bank canopy is designed for island cooking.
LIMITATIONS: can only be used where height isn’t an issue.
ADVANTAGES: due to the double filter banks this canopy has a high extraction volume making it very effective for most applications. The capture area is much larger than the standard slope or box canopy which reduces the risk of smoke or steam spilling out of the hood.
SLOPE SIDE CANOPY
APPLICATION: a slope side canopy is good general use canopy for grill line ups or over industrial equipment.
LIMITATIONS: can create height issues for tall equipment
ADVANTAGES: canopy is closer to the equipment hence more effective, due to this it is possible to extract a slightly lower air volume. This canopy can be mounted side by side and back to back.
CONDENSATE CANOPY
APPLICATION: a condensate canopy is primarily used on high steam industrial kitchens and still has the ability to do grill line ups.
LIMITATIONS: can only be used where height isn’t an issue. A drain is required to connect to the hood for water runoff.
ADVANTAGES: the canopy usually has a large foot print which provides a good capture area. Due to the sloped top any steam produced that condenses against canopy panels will run down into the gutter of the canopy and into the drain. This canopy can be mounted side by side and back to back.
